He takes an overview of how we live together and writes about the basic building blocks of society and government. Richard’s way of dealing with email blew me away when I realised that I will spend less energy on a per email basis, today and every day from now on. The ideas were clearly well thought out and written in an entertaining and straightforward fashion. I CAN'T WAIT to read the next book in this AMAZING Series although it's going to be the last book and I DON'T want this GREAT Series to end. Overall a very good read for the student of military history or for anyone who just enjoys a good story. For all of them, the wendigo is a stand-in for “the dread of nature,” and it’s noteworthy that nature is also mostly kept off-stage here, with the ambiguously-gendered protagonist’s diary entries (titled by number of days since the station lost contact with the outside world, and presented achronologically) all taking place within the walls of the station itself. But mostly it's a story about love, all kinds of love, including and maybe beginning with critically important self-love. “Wendigo Nights” by Siobhan CarrollThe Wendigo, a personification of cannibalism and the frigid north which originally haunted tribes of the Algonquian, has a long pedigree in weird fiction. When not writing or working, she ekes out time for dance and computer games. But she's also got a taste for something a little beastly, and it doesn't take long for Iain to break through her every inhibition. In the second part of the book, chapters include and treatise in demonology, the element beings, Christ, Shiva, love, credence, the guardian spirit and many more interesting subjects. Of the "second generation" portion of this series, this has been my favorite so far. Told during a time when the author was a boy the first thing evident is how much love the family had for each other and how they stuck together during this crisis. Included are the town's industrial center, public buildings, parks, unique duplex housing, and ostentatious mill-owner homes. It fully describes the history, economics, politics, processes, taste, and recipes for rum. After a few failed marriage proposals, Dan needs Jessica’s help to learn to better understand women.
